Anonymous asked: True, though Araña is just Spanish for Spider, so it wasn't that far from "Spider-Girl"(Chica-Araña could have worked too). The costume i kinda agree, but also like that it was given to her by Julia Carpinter, i thought it was nice. I guess i like both, i dunno.
If they’d stuck to something Spanish I wouldn’t mind quite as much. Araña itself has special meaning to Anya, though, and I just can’t see her abandoning that name.
Female legacy is always awesome, but…they barely knew each other and then never spoke again. If we saw that relationship build over time, if it remained a consistent aspect of her life, then I’d be happy to see her wear the black costume.
As it is, we just lost the one she designed, the one that screamed Anya, for something that really doesn’t.
