BUT I SHALL because I have lots of Kanaya feelings.

Headcanon:

Being a rainbow drinker is really screwing with her emotions, which are already screwed up because “repression until boiling point” is how she deals with shit. She swings from calm distance to violent rage as she tries to cope with her revised biology. For Kanaya this is horrifying, because she tries so hard to be cool and in control, the centre of the storm. And it felt so fucking good to just let loose, and she knows that’s really not because she craves blood now.

She distanced herself purposely from the people Vriska hurt because she feels that it is, in part, her fault. She should have been a better moirail, a better auspitice. She also doesn’t want to get too angry, because then she might push Vriska away. Basically she’s too wrapped up in her own remorse and romance to truly be there for other people.

She did, though, genuinely think she was helping Tavros when she cut his legs off. This does not make it okay. This is an extension of her being kind of a self-righteous control freak, as well as the society she grew up in.

She doesn’t eat babies. Other people think she’s weird but her lusus just gets really sad about the practice so she’s always abstained.

She definitely knows the legend of the Sufferer, but I can never decide if she knows who her Ancestor was. Either way, she largely agrees the remnants that have survived of his philosophy. It’s not that violence particularly disturbs her…at all, but she can see a lot of the massive flaws in their society. She kind of hates herself for that, a bit, now that it’s gone.

Before the game the person Kanaya was closest to, after Vriska, was Feferi. It has not escaped her notice that she’s fallen for two Heroes of Light and two Witches.

If she were a Derse dreamer we’d all be fucked.
